Masterclasses in Canberra and Hobart – August 2011

Well! Thank you to all the participants who booked early.  The masterclasses are sold out in both cities and I’m looking forward to working with all of you on building credible worlds.  I hope everyone is bringing chocolate!

I simply cannot wait! Will definitely bring chocolates….I guess bringing a nice red is a no-no…? :)

A red is perhaps a slight distraction, given what we have to cover in a day! If we were on a weekend workshop I’d encourage it and bring in cheese and trimmings! See you Saturday

Thanks for a great class today – just the kick in the pants I needed to finally get on with it.

The Hobart Masterclass was brilliant, thank you, Fiona. I left so inspired! I look forward to seeing you again when you come to Launceston.

      Hello again, Shirley

How lovely of you to write and thank you for letting me know that you’re fully motivated. I’m thrilled to hear it and very happy for you with your stunning piece of magic. All power to your pen or keyboard…and your imagination. Stay disciplined. By the way, I told you my mum’s maiden name is Patton, but I’ve just realised that my favourite cousin is Sandra and her middle name begins with C and her surname is Patton! Small world.

    Hi Fiona

Thanks again for a fantastic workshop. It was enormously valuable! Motivating, inspiring and very enjoyable. The only downside is the slight lack of sleep I’ve subsequently been suffering from meeting my word-count contract.
    Cheers

      Hello Leife

It was a genuine pleasure to work with such an enthusiastic, breezy bunch of writers who came to have fun and left me feeling full of energy for my own work. I am sticking to my word count too, so we’re in this together. Keep enjoying your writing and all best to you. F

I attended the Hobart workshop, having driven down for the day from Launceston with Shirley. To be in touch with your enthusiasm and involvement in fantasy worlds made the trip worthwhile and certainly encouraged us with our writing. Thaks for sharing your time.

Hi Michael – a roomful of good writers with strong ideas and so well advance in projects…well, it was a pleasure to be among you and work through ideas to enliven and enrich your worlds. And Tasmania….the double feelgood whammy!
