Fiona McIntosh - Author

And here it is – the sequel at last!

The French Promise is the sequel to The Lavender Keeper and will be released next month but here’s a sneak peek. I shall also be on national tour and will publish details of where and when as soon as the dates and venues are locked down. Soon!

Fabulous cover, thank you Penguin and there’s some lovely news in the wind to go with the release of this novel which I’ll also be letting everyone know about shortly.

My absolute pleasure, Amber, thank you so much. I’m on tour for Promise so hopefully our paths will cross and I’ll be able to sign both of your books! F

  2. Hi Fiona
Sincere congratulations – your books always take pride of place on my shelf. I can’t wait to add this one to my collection. Keep kicking big goals. You continue to be an inspiration to (pip-squeak) fellow authors – like me!
Take care and best of luck with the master classes. Bryce is smiling on you, no doubt.

      Thanks, Allayne
So kind of you….keep pushing, writing hard. It takes persistence.

Have been waiting impatiently for the sequel and am now waiting anxiously for it to hit the shelves in NZ. I know I will be unavailable to anyone once I have it in my possession. I presume it is April that it is available so I may have to take some special leave as Easter will be over.
Congratulations on tis series it is so realistic and engrossing.

Oh thank you, Laurelle, so much. Just a fortnight until The French Promise is released and then I’ll be on tour and hopefully coming to a bookshop or library near you where I can thank you properly.

Enjoy it! I loved writing it. F

I have b een waiting for Luc’s Promise to be published. I thought this was going to be the sequel to the Lavender Keeper. I cannot wait to get hold of the French Promise.

    • Fiona says:

Sorry, Judith, working titles for manuscripts often change when it comes to publication time. This is the sequel, I promise…no pun intended. :)

  7. Fay says:

I have just finished The French Promise, couldn’t put it down, wanted it to go on forever. Thank you so much for such a great journey with Luc and Lisette and their family.

  8. Carolyn says:

Wow, at 4am this morning I finished, with deep regret, “The French Promise” – I wanted this book to go on and on and I hope we have not seen the last of Luc and his lavender, thank you, just amazing.

  9. Laurelle McFarlane says:

Well done absolutley loved the French Promise you have yet again produced another fantastic book. Sorry that I couldnt make it to any of your book tour dates to far from where I live. Next time I will make sure I make to one of them. What ever you do keep writing the books that you write.

Just discovered you by accident on telly a week ago. I am a French mum with two children (one French and one Aussie). I have been living in Melbourne for a while now. And I am a French teacher also. I need to read your books “The Lavender keeper” and “The French Promise” asap.
I was wondering if you were speaking French (and all these stories are from your travels in Europe?). Did you have families there during the Second War? I have so many questions to ask you. Thank you again for reading my message.

  11. Sylvia says:

Thank you for the best two books and story with Luc and his family. i have always loved stories about the 2nd World War and to combine it with our love of Tasmania, was a true journey. I wished it didn’t have to end. Fiona, I have had the best time.

  12. Came across The Lavender Keeper by accident (had not read any of your work before) and thoroughly enjoyed the story – could not put it down and was surprised when I would lift my head and discover two hours and more had gone by. Am looking forward to The French Promise and anything else I can lay my hands on.

    • Fiona says:

Hi Jeanette…thank you for giving Lavender a go and I’m in the middle of a French Promise tour right now so here’s hoping you enjoy that too. As to ‘anything else’…there’s Fields of Gold and then about 14 huge fantasy novels stretching behind that, and a couple of crime books….but that’s another story! :)

  13. Veronica Curness says:

Just finished reading the French Promise, & loved it, as I did the Lavender Keeper. Looking forward to the third instalment.
