Travels

I come from a travel marketing and publishing background and have been on the move since I was three years old and commuting from Britain – where I was born and call home – to where my father was working and we were living in West Africa. Leaping on a plane to exotic climes was all part of the normal routine for me as a child and so travel is, I think, in my blood. And while these days I don’t necessarily need to know that I have a flight booked to somewhere, I must admit it’s curious to note that I left the travel industry for the much quieter life of being a novelist but my travel schedule is more hectic and more global than ever. No complaints, I love to wander and I especially enjoy meeting my publishers and especially my readers in far flung places.

I have recently been to Britain and France on the research trail for my next historical saga that will be released toward the end of 2011.

Coming up:
London to research a forthcoming historical novel, which will be set mainly in and around London during the 1920s and will be a grand romance. And for DCI Jack Hawksworth fans, you may be pleased to know that this will also be a good time for me to research the third hunt for a serial killer by Jack and co.
I will also be returning to Paris for the new fantasy but also visiting Vienna and Krakow for the third historical saga that I’ll start writing later in 2011.

Hi Fiona!
I’m happy that your favourite city is Paris, because that’s the capital of my country!
You’re a lucky chap, Davy. I try to get to Paris each year. Will be there in April!
Unfortunately, I live in a town called Rennes, at the west of France. With the high school, I will go to Paris the 22, 23, and 24…March! So I could not meet you in Paris in April…and I’m so sad. But one day, I wish meet you, because you are one of my favourite authors!
